Deep Tissue Muscle Therapy
is a form of massage designed to elongate muscle tissue and release constriction of the muscle fibers to help reduce pain, release muscle tension and restore movement. This is the preferred treatment for athletes or individuals looking to recover from injuries and to regain strength and flexibility.
How does deep tissue muscle therapy work?
When muscles are constricted for a prolonged period of time, circulation is impaired, allowing toxins to build up within the muscle, commonly resulting in pain and restricted movement.
Applying pressure to these constrictions allows the muscle fibers to spread apart, increasing circulation throughout the muscle. Toxins are released along with the pain due to inflammation and the muscle is restored to a natural supple state.
What can I expect during a session?
Deep Tissue Muscle Therapy is similar to a massage, but you will feel a deeper sensation of pressure within the muscles while the therapist works on your problem areas.
What are the benefits of deep tissue muscle therapy?
This therapy will help reduce pain and restore movement. It helps you to recover from injuries and regain strength and flexibility. Deep Tissue Muscle Therapy is also excellent for releasing stress related muscle tension.
